About Us

The college was conceived in 2006, with stalwarts of the medical community and the physiotherapy community collaborating with the Deccan Education Society to form this college. After receiving the government resolution on 29.06.2007, the college admitted its first batch of students in September 2007.

The college’s first Principal, Dr. Aparna Sadhale (PT), was instrumental in setting up the college, envisioning a center, with a strong focus on practical oriented education, relevant to society at all points in time. The college’s affiliations, built since then, all follow this principle, enabling our students to receive instruction in a stream that combines intellect and strength both. This foundation has further been reinforced by the current Principal, Dr. Snehal Joshi (PT).

The cornerstone of the college is its Principal; with robust management, staunch and motivated faculty, steadfast students, and our eternally supportive stakeholders, forming the pillars on which it grows every year.

2007

Collage was established with an Undergraduate intake of 30.

2013

Postgraduate programs in musculoskeletal physical therapy and Neurophysiotherapy were initiated.

2017

Undergraduate intake was increased to 40.

2017

Postgraduate in cardiovascular and respiratory physical therapy and community physical therapy was started

2023

Increase in intake of the MPT in the musculoskeletal physical therapy programme to 6
