Bachelor of Physiotherapy (B.P.Th.)

Course Description

The Bachelor’s course consists of 4 years of classroom and clinical training, with equal weightage being given to both the components. In the classroom component, students are taught pre-clinical, para-clinical, and clinical subjects, along with supervised labs. Clinical postings are provided from the II year onward, with students learning the practical aspects of exercise prescription and rehabilitation on-site. At the end of each year, the student appears for a university examination, where, according to the subject, the student is assessed for theoretical and practical knowledge.

The course ends when the student successfully clears the IV-year examination and becomes eligible for the mandatory rotatory internship programme. On completion of this internship, the student receives the bachelor’s degree from the university.
